usda Organic  Certified

We are certified USDA Organic through CCOF to verify through a third party that we have diligently followed the practices and processes people look for in an organic product.

The Organic Cert tells you that they are watching our records of the sprays we use. They offer us a list of approved  herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, fungicides etc. for organic use. Organic approved "cides" are believed to not have a long lasting residue.  CCOF also polices the paper trail to verify that we track and ensure that our crops are the ones that you receive. Through their extensive network of USDA Organic certifiers, they ensure that throughout the hulling and shelling and processing that our  product is not mixed with conventional crops or processed on equipment with crops that have come from environments that use glyphosate and other such substances. Once again, although there are organic approved "cides" for everything, we do not use ANY (herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, etc on farm even organic approved ones).

Regenerative Certified

Tier 5 Regenified

We are top tiered certified through REGENIFIED for our Regenerative Certification.

What does that even mean?  Many folks claim to be Regenerative and the definition is pretty awesome as we understand it, but it is unregulated and therefore can be claimed by anyone, so we felt it was important to get certification to help show the consumer what the experts saw in our farming.

What does "Tier 5" mean?  There are lots of farms certifying regeneratively, promising to implement practices, or implementing one or two, and of course, its better than nothing, but it doesn't mean the food is healthier.  When they evaluated our farm, soil, and practices they certified us Tier 5, which is the highest level, and reserved to indicate a full and robust implementation of soil health practices.

Who is REGENIFIED? We chose Regenified for our Regenerative Certification because of their incredible understanding of the soil, their team and their absolute emphasis on SOIL Health.  Regenified was established by Gabe Brown, an amazing farmer whose understanding and work resulted in deeper top soil than previously thought possible.

BioChecked Non-Glyphosate
Certified

Glyphosate is the active ingredient in the most popular herbicides for both residential and commercial use. Glyphosate is the most effective and cheapest way to keep the ground free of vegetation.  Herbicides are used heavily in almond production because of the way almonds are harvest by dropping them on the orchard floor to both dry and collect.  We do not use it or any other herbicide.  We have gone to extreme lengths to re-think the system so we can grow the cleanest almonds possible.

We hope this helped answer questions for you about the orchard.
If you have further questions, thoughts, or encouragement--we'd love to hear from you.
